The Power of One Rotarian
We had the pleasure of hearing from our fellow Rotarians about what they have done with great ideas!
Jim Lowry talked about the Welcome to Simi sign and how anyone can bring up viable ideas. It was because of him and a group of other members, that the sign was created and then recreated when it was burned down
John Tolson talked about how he got involved with feeding the homeless and how he included his son whenever possible. He was raised with giving back and taught his son that same valuable lesson -- Service Above Self.
Craig Foster talked about the many unmet needs that exist in our community and how the power of a large group of people and a passion to make a difference can accomplish a great deal. He highlighted Steve Smith's idea -- more than 17 years ago - about how he had saw other organizations have bike assemblies for the less fortunate in a community and brought that idea to our club.
Chas Wilson talked about the Rotary's Global Grants and how they make a difference through the world.
