Why I'm in Rotary:
My initial Rotary moment was when I was in High School and I won a $500 Rotary Scholarship for Academics, Sports and Competition. I was later introduced by Don Weber to the Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise where I witnessed a great bunch of people doing great things for the community and world. I was accepted into the club and just a few months later worked my first Cajun Festival. Here I worked with raising funds, set up, and working a beer booth right where a beautiful lady in a white bikini was serving seafood pitas and alligator on a stick. Hence another Rotary moment and I've never looked back. I was introduced, fed breakfast, accepted, challenged, tested and blessed by amazing Rotarians who enabled me to share in Service Above Self. Thank you!

Most embarrassing moment:
Playing with a jazz band in a fully packed school concert. I had 3 drum solos in a song. The first 2 were short solos in the middle of the song, the 3rd was at the end of the song and I was to solo for as long as I wanted. First solo was on time, quick and solid...song went on...second solo came, I put my head down and went at it like it was the 3rd solo for as long as I wanted...Shortly later I notice my band mates looking at me, and I glanced up to see our conductor staring at me waiting for me to finish my solo and cue the band back into the song. The band was amazing and made like it was meant to be. This truly was an embarrassing moment for me!
