President, Absolute
Security & Technologies
Family: Leah Perini - Wife married feb 2014, Joseph - Son 1 year, Dillin - Son 21 yr, Devin - Son 23 yr, Dustin- Son 25 yr

Why I'm in Rotary: I joined 1000 Oaks Rotary in 2003 and had great experiences:

Chili cook off, and visiting an orphanage and children's hospital in Tijuana very rewarding to see who is being helped by our efforts.

My more recent moment was at cajun working security with Joe Grinstead and an elderly man about 225-250 lbs 6ft 3 ,had an electric wheelchair that the battery had died. he was with 2  women 69-70 and they were trying to push the wheel chair. We offered assistance , they needed to make the train to Santa Barbara and didn't have any spare time to get there.
We asked the gentleman to sit in the electric wheel chair . Joe and I pushed him from the event to the train . They were telling us about how much they liked the event and what an unexpected pleasure it was to find the event,  while Greg Hartman thought it necessary to update us every 2 min "the train will be arriving in " PA announcements over the radio!

The ladies and gentleman thought it was funny ! When we got to the top of the train ramp, we were extending our hands to say good bye and the ladies pulled us in and gave us hugs , kisses and thought how wonderful we, the event and the people of Simi Valley are.

I purposely left out these nice people are black, and with todays racial tensions it stands out to me even more how we as individuals affect the world around us, simple efforts speak volumes.

My family has always given back, some in simple and extraordinary ways, its in our blood. Donating buildings, volunteer firemen, volunteering at the State dept to provide educational tours to Dignitaries from other nations, Receiving Recognition from YadVashem  for smuggling Jewish children out of Italy during WW2, Lions club member, Italian cousins and Uncles that are/were Italian Rotary members etc

What don’t people know about you that they should?
I don't bite...too hard

Strange, but true:
My first marriage was blessed by Pope John Paul the second
(it didnt help, my ex- wife shredded it!)

Passions, hobbies, interests:
snow boarding
Laughing - comedies

My work, Paint-balling with my sons, Construction, Cooking but mainly eating Italian food, good conversations, shooting, goofing around with my sons

What I'm really good at:
Speaking with people, gaining understanding, finding good food and never leaving the table.
Designing reliable and useful systems for my clients

One goal I’d like to accomplish during my lifetime:
Make my family proud

Favorite place to vacation/visit:
Playa del Carmen - beach
Italian Alps/ Lake Tahoe
if you have a group of Italians almost anyplace

On my bucket list:
Play wrestle a bear & lion

Most embarrassing moment:
As a parent embarrassment is a motivational tool,
I embrace it.
I have a hard time remembering special dates( birthdays, anniversaries)

How important is the 4 way test ?
Is it better enforced with a solid fist, open hand, or humor
