Doug talked about our Rotary Pins - said they are another method of publicizing our club and Rotary. He asked that everyone who was wearing their pin today to stand. 9 people stood. He challenged us - in 2 weeks he will ask the same question. Everyone who is not wearing their pin will be asked to donate $1. And he will continue doing this each week until everyone is wearing their pin. At that time, Doug will match the donations and donate it all to the Simi Sunrise Charitable Foundation.
Paul Harris 50/50 Drawing Held
Chas Wilson and Lisa Brough presented a 50/50 PHF opportunity. Our club has committed $9200 to a Columbia Peace Grant, this is part of a $91,000 grant providing for a Vocational Training Team for 500 women and children to recover from psychological and social damage. 10 people raised their hands to donate $500 each towards this 50/50 PHF opportunity.
Rat Fink
Dr. P. was our Rat Fink this morning and he utilized the Kahoot program for a questionnaire regarding Dan Jaeger's demotion highlights.
Doug Feco's President's Moment
This morning Doug talked about his Rotary Moment. During a Cajun Festival when we had the Clydesdales, when the Special Needs children came, they wheeled one young boy up to this very large horse, and the horse put his head in the child's lap. It brought Doug to tears and said that memory will stay with him for the rest of his life.
Chas Wilson reported that the Board passed a Balanced Budget last week. We will need to increase our monthly dues from $72 to $75. This is to offset the increasing cost of breakfast.

PROGRAM
Foreign Exchange Students
Haley Hall and Lara Satler
We had the pleasure of hearing from Haley Hall and Lara Satler this morning. They both highlighted their year in the exchange student program:
Haley Hall presented "Mi Ano En Chile" - Haley was a graduate of Royal High School. She spent her gap year as and exchange student in Chile. She highlighted her year: she had 3 Host Families, visited Easter Island, Patagonia, and even went to a Justin Bieber concert! Her family had the opportunity to visit her there. She will be starting Cal State Channel Islands next month, working towards a nursing degree
Lara Satler presented a video of the train trip she took last month, the highlight of her year. They visited San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Glacier National Park, Chicago, Niagra Falls, Boston, New York City, Washington DC, and New Orleans. When Lara returns to Brazil, she will pursue a Medical degree with the goal of becoming a Pediatrician.
Mary Paseta congratulated the girls on being great representatives of their countries, and of Rotary.
