Strange, but true:
I make wine vinegar - I have a 107 gallon batch going right now
Passions, hobbies, interests:
Cooking, eating, travel, family activities, golf
What I'm really good at:
Playing the trumpet. I started losing my hearing because of it, so I don't play anymore.
One goal I’d like to accomplish during my lifetime:
I've always wanted to be able to play the piano or guitar. I recently bought a guitar and had a few lessons, so I'm working on it. The way it's going, I may be trying the piano pretty soon.
Favorite place to vacation/visit:
I've been fortunate enough to do a lot of international travel, and there isn't a single place that I regretted going to, but my favorite place so far was Israel. Visiting so many modern and ancient places, and religious and archaeological sites that remain from biblical times, I was amazed at the relevance and significance of so many places that are so important to Jews, Christians and Muslims, alike.
Why I decided to be an accountant:
My father was a financial controller and executive. I was good with numbers and I saw the financial stability that could come with a career in finance. But I was also an accomplished musician. I figured I'd hedge my bet, so I entered college as a double major, Music and Accounting. By my sophomore year I'd been dating Michelle for about a year, and I could see myself starting a life and a family with her. The conservative side of me that all of you know decided that I could support a family better with an accounting degree than as a starving musician. I'm glad I did.
There have been 3 cases in 2017 of Polio due to the wild polio virus. The most recent case of Polio was January 27th in Pakistan. Click on the link below for more information.
