Jim Lowry led our meeting this morning. He shared with us that our club will be celebrating its 33rd anniversary this month!
He encouraged members to take part in a District Conference or even attend the Rotary International Conference next year in Honolulu!
He also talked about how Rotary has created Fellowship opportunities with various clubs like beer, wine and doll collecting.

Stella Ortiz thanked the spouses of many of our members with beautiful flowers for working so hard at our Cajun Festival.
She also reminded everyone to turn in their
security shirts and signs.
There will also be a Cajun Wrap Up meeting on Wednesday, June 19 @ 6:00 p.m. at Monte Vista
with Dr. P's Cajun dogs!

Simi Sunrise Rotary Charitable Foundation
Doug Feco presented a program on our Simi Sunrise Rotary Charitable Foundation (SSRCF). He talked about the difference between this foundation and the Rotary Foundation.
SSRCF was created in 1995 to provide support to our local Simi Valley community. We do that through scholarships to high school seniors and through the Leonard Coppola Memorial Vocational Scholarship. Over the years we have provided more than $200,000 in scholarships and more than 200 students have benefited from the Leonard Coppola scholarship.
He talked about how we raise money for SSRCF -- by having events, selling cards and Simi Sunrise Rotary Charitable Foundation Fellows. He ask for four fellows this morning and five members raised their hands: Demi Fox, Dan Gesell. Tim Gray, Maggie Kestly, and Leigh Seaton.
