Why I'm in Rotary:
It's an opportunity for me to meet people in Rotary and my community, and also participate in community services and events.
What people don't know about me:
At first sight, I'm hard shelled and crusty like a crab, but tender and tasteful on the inside after getting to know me.
Strange, but true:
I cry at happy events.
I'm really good at:
Helping people help themselves.
One goal I'd like to accomplish during my lifetime:
I want to own a home and live part time in a Mexican resort town.
My favorite place to visit:
We enjoy Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. Love to go on cruises.
On my bucket list:
To catch a monster sized halibut in Alaska
Most embarrassing moment:
I bought a new boat and launched it at the lake in front of everybody, but I had forgotten to put in the plug.

Work Experience:
I was a teacher in Guyana and in the British Virgin Islands. I was also a computer repair tech, a night auditor, a Cost Controller for a Rockefeller resort. I am currently a business owner.
Aha Moments in Rotary:
Many such moments from as basic as attending my club’s weekly meeting and getting to meet and greet everyone, to going to South America and knowing that I was speaking for my club when I promised that we will provide wheel chairs.
Feeling the excitement of the young students at Santa Susana Elementary School when they received IPads donated by our club.
Walking the grounds at our Cajun & Blues Festival and seeing the joy in people’s faces & feeling humbled to be a member of this club of volunteers who can put on such a professionally run event.
Conducting a club’s meeting as the president of Simi Sunrise (the Best Club in the World!) and wondering what were the past presidents drinking when they selected me & being forever grateful for the privilege.
What You Don’t know about me;
I was doing public speaking since I was 6 years old
My medication is meditation

The United States of America.
