Why I'm in Rotary:
Have always wanted to give back and support our Simi Community
Passions, hobbies, interests:
Travel, Vintage Cars, Family
One goal I’d like to accomplish during my lifetime:
To have no debt
On my bucket list:
#1 is to travel to Europe; Italy, Ireland, France, Greece, etc
My most embarrassing moment:
Was on a local talk radio show where a substantial prize was offered to the first person to get to a certain location and perform a certain act; Needless to say I was the first one and the act that was videoed for a later production and the act was of me dropping my pants to the ground in public on a very busy section of Ventura Blvd in Studio City, put ladies panties on my head and play the harmonica for 5 minutes...I won a trip to Vegas to see a show (don't remember the show)

Why I'm in Rotary:
When we adopted our daughter, I really wanted a way to serve the community we were going to be raising her in.
Otto Austel (my brother-in-law's father-in-law) invited me to join Rotary. I don't know that I really had a choice, but I'm glad I took him up on it. Our family had an amazing experience at the Rotary Convention in Copenhagen, Denmark/Malmo, Sweden. We've had exchange students from both Denmark and Italy stay with us. I've had a few "Rotary Moments" over the years, but the biggest one was being able to participate in the Yes! program and witness the affect it had on many of our youth.
Strange, but true:
I'm purebred: all of my great grandparents were born in Sweden
Passions, hobbies, interests:
Don't have as much time to do them as I'd like currently, but I've been known to collect and restore arcade games and coke machines, build and fly RC planes, and brew beer.
One goal I’d like to accomplish during my lifetime:
Trying to learn to play the banjo. I just started and feel like I'll never be any good, but it's relaxing and I'm enjoying it anyway.
Favorite place to vacation/visit:
Locally, Yosemite and Tahoe. Worldwide: Scandinavia, Sweden in particular.
What is one of the things on your bucket list?
Visiting Australia - which is where our family will be going over Christmas!
