For her last meeting, President Deb talked about this year's theme - One World One Rotary - and how it truly was a year of oneness and connections.
She talked about how we all connected through our projects, our youth programs, internationally through our Global Grants, and with our newest members.
Together she said, this past year we connected with each other through our personal bonds and relationships.

District 5240 Virtual District Celebration
Members should plan on attending the District's Virtual Celebration for our very own Savi Bhim. Of course she would like to have 100% from her home club so mark your calendars NOW for Saturday, June 27 from 12 noon - 1:30 p.m. Awards will be given to clubs and individuals and it should be a fun celebration! Lots of interesting activities are being planned!

Dorina Timbol sent her heartfelt thanks to everyone that came out to help her tear down her gym last Saturday. She said she couldn't have done it without everyone.
Senior Center Needs Drivers
Jake Finch reported that during the COVID-19 emergency, the Senior Center has seen a significant increase in the number of meals it provides to seniors in the community. The Center has been supported by volunteer drivers over the past few months to deliver the additional meals to meet the need in the community. However, many of these volunteers are now going back to work and will no longer be able to assist.
The Senior Center is seeking 2 – 3 drivers who could start next week for 2 – 3 hours per day. If you have the time and are interested, please contact Angel Sierra, Senior Center Manager, at (805)583-6366 to learn more about volunteering to deliver meals to the seniors in our community. Please share this with your community groups.

The Rotary International Convention, previously planned for Hawaii and now cancelled) will be completely virtual and everyone can join in the sessions that are being offered!
Click on the link below for more information. There is not cost to join in on the numerous sessions that will be offered and some even go into July.
Reminder that everyone should have received an email about Deb's demotion. Please open it and RSVP today!
While it won't include all the usually stuff, we will be able to celebrate Deb's year and she will be able to thank everyone for their support.

Nick Frankle talked about a Rotary trip that he, along with other Rotarians including Leigh Seaton, took to Honduras in January. The trip included participating in Operation Footprint, visiting completed Global Grant water projects and meeting with women that received microfinance grants.
