President Mike McCaffrey shared a video that incorporated this month's Rotary International theme of Peace and Conflict Prevention/Resolution Month.
Of the 60 million people displaced by armed conflict or persecution, 90% are civilians. That's millions of reasons why Rotary is so engaged in service projects, fellowships and other Rotary-sponsored campaigns in pursuit of peace in our world.
BYLAW REVIEW
Gary White and Chas Wilson talked about the current bylaws regarding the nomination process for president-elect and the opportunity to revise the bylaws in the next few months at meetings that Chas Wilson will be holding at his house. The first meeting will be Monday, February 18 at 7:00 p.m. His address is: 240 Sinaloa Road.

Bill Fox reviewed some of the recent and interesting articles in this month's Rotary Magazine.
Family of Rotary Valentine's Day Potluck + Food Tour Planned for April
Laura Berger reminded us about a potluck dinner being planned this Saturday, February 9. The dinner will be at the Berger House, 3463 Sunset Place at 5:30 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to bring their favorite dish to feed 15-20 people. It's also BYOB!
Laura also talked about a Food Tour of Downtown LA, planned for Saturday, April 27th at noon. Sign ups are on the tables now.
Camp Rotary Clean Up Day
Leigh Seaton said that we will be painting at Camp Rotary this Saturday, February 9 at 8:30 a.m. Please bring brushes and tarps if possible!
Happy Face Maintenance
Bill Klepper talked about a maintenance tomorrow, Friday, February 8 at 3:00 p.m. at Happy Face hill. Meet at the top of Kuehner. Bring a steel rake and a weed wacker.

We had the pleasure of hearing from FBI Task Force Officer, Kimo Hildreth about cyber security. We see it on TV, read about it in newspapers and we all seem to know someone who has been victimized. He talked about personal scams, business scams (Business Email Compromise - BEC), and some basic precautions you can take to prevent a successful attack.
