Highlights of Today's Meeting
Club Recognition
Dan Jaeger presented banners to Dr. Stephen Pietrolungo for the 2015-2016 year that we received at a recently held Midterm District 5240 Conference. Our club received banners for 100% membershp participation and for being a 100% sustaining member club.
New Membership Platform
Doug Feco talked about our club's membership over the years and highlighted the proposed new Membership Platform -- Corporate Memberships.  This will allow a company to join and designate one CEO and two additional individuals to attend meetings. They will be required to have 80% attendance versus the 60% for individuals.  A vote was taken and it passed unanimously.  Our bylaws will now be updated.
Rat Fink
Joel Rothman was our Rat Fink this morning and he questioned members on various "phobia" words to see if they knew their meanings.
Hats Off Goes To...
Craig Foster received the Hats Off Award this morning for helping to bring back the 30/30 Paul Harris program.
Hardly Strictly Moment...
Dan's words of choice were the uplifting words from James McMurty's Can't Make It Here Anymore
Nick Frankle - Thanks for All You Did for Heather over the years
Nick Frankle thanked our club for their support and love for Heather over the years.
Announcements
Attend the Upcoming STEPS Conference
Doug Feco shared additional information on the upcoming STEPS Conference planned for Saturday, January 28th from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.  The event is FREE.  Please see more details on the flyer at the end of this bulletin.
Our Exchange Student Needs Our Support
Laura Satler, our exchange student this year from Brazil, talked about a trip that all exchange students get to participate in at the end of their year.  The trip takes them from California throughout the country to New York.  She is looking for donations to offset the cost. She was selling Brazilian homemade candy this morning!
Donations for Groceries for Philippine Trip
Sophie Klepper said that she has been helping past District Governor Wade Nomura collect donations for a trip to the Philippines.  The boxes have all been packed they now need donations for groceries to purchase once they get to the villages.

Family: Married with 2 stepdaughters and 1 son

Why I'm in Rotary:
So I can participate in community activities and enjoy the camaraderie.

What people don’t know about me:
I am a very honest, loyal and dependable person.
Did I mention punctuality? I hate to be late.
What I'm really good at:
Helping people help themselves in times of need. I volunteer as a mediator in the Simi Superior Small Claims Court.

One goal I’d like to accomplish:
Own a little villa in Mexico, Caribbean or Costa Rica and reside there 4-6 months per year.

Favorite place to vacation/visit:
My wife and I enjoy warm weather destinations, sandy beaches, resorts and cruises. Mostly in Mexico or Caribbean.

On my bucket list:
I enjoy fishing and always wanted to catch some huge halibut in Alaska
