Bill Klepper was our Rat Fink this morning and he presented some of our members with an article of clothing to stop unwanted advances -- hairnets!
Rotary Accepting Donations for Fire Victims through the Rotary Relief Fund
Erik Sellfors thanked everyone who brought clothing this morning and he said that for those that want to make a monetary donation Rotary has something already set up. An email from the district was sent this morning to everyone, but here are the details now:
Please give now. There are three ways to contribute, read more online at www.vccf.org:
1. Make an online donation via credit card. Be sure to enter fund name as Rotary Relief Fund.
3. Transfer securities or cash by wire. VCCF can accept gifts of publicly traded securities and cash by wire. For your convenience, VCCF has prepared one-page instruction letters (attached) that you can send to your bank or investment advisory firm, which will give your financial advisor all the information he or she needs to execute a wire transfer of securities or cash. Please be sure to name “Ventura County Community Foundation Rotary Relief Fund.” Ventura County Community Foundation is a 501(c)3 public charity, Federal Tax ID number: 77-0165029.
Dr. P. reminded everyone that this year's Bike Project is planned for tonights at Monte Vista at 6:00 p.m. (See flyer below for more information.)
Rotary Progressive Holiday Dinner Planned for December 9th CANCELLED
The dinner has been cancelled for this Saturday but we will be planning another event in January.
Blood Drive Planned for December 14
Jim Robison reminded everyone to sign up to donated blood at the Blood Drive Thursday, December 14 . Sign up sheets are on the tables now.
2018 Cajun Tickets are Here
Larry Borovay reminded members to pick up their 9 tickets and that TODAY is the last day to purchase additional tickets for $15 each. Ticket prices will go up to $20 after that time. Additional tickets purchased now are non-refundable. Email Larry at cajun2018ticket@yahoo.com to request additional tickets now.

We had the pleasure of hearing from Ralph Mauriello who was a pitcher in Major League Baseball. He pitched in three games for the Los Angeles Dodgers during the end of the 1958 baseball season, including making two starts.
He shared stories about team mates Tommy Lasorda, Chuck Connors, Sparky Anderson and many more!
