Kiwanis's RoundUp Is Looking for Volunteers
The RoundUp event sponsored by Kiwanis will be held on Saturday, April 1st (no fooling). They have been very supportive of our Cajun event and this is our opportunity to show our appreciation (and to encourage their support for this year's Cajun). I know that several Simi Sunrisers have helped them out in the past. This year's event will be at the Rancho Simi Community Park (the duck park). They especially need help with Security and parking areas. If you are interested in helping them out with Security, please contact Dale Cutler at Cutler5@me.com.
They can also use help in Admissions - greeting visitors and taking tickets at the gate; and checking ID. Please go to the following link to sign up: http://signup.com/go/r19e8e
Vance Manakas, Athletic Director at Moorpark College, talked about their program and how our Simi Valley students are involved.

Why I'm in Rotary:
I have been in Rotary for a few years. I was in Glendale Sunrise Rotary for about 3 years. I left Rotary for a few years and just returned after I moved to Simi Valley.
What people don't know about me:
I tend to be rather opinionated and like to give my opinions. I know that gets me into trouble. But, I do it anyway.
I was Advertising Director at Winston Tires for quite a few years. I really know a lot about media. I also performed the marketing functions for them, as the Marketing Director got fired.
Passions, hobbies, interests:
I love Genealogy, War Gaming and reading.
Favorite place to vacation/visit:
I have been to Hawaii two times now. Have been to the big island, Oahu, and Maui. I liked Maui the best. Would love to go back.
There have been 3 cases in 2017 of Polio due to the wild polio virus. The most recent case of Polio was January 27th in Pakistan. Click on the link below for more information.
