Jocko Arledge
Retired from the Ventura County Fire Dept.
Battalion Chief
Family: Ann and I have three grown children and 5.3 grandchildren. Both of my sons are firefighters here in Ventura County and my daughter is a teacher in the Simi Valley Unified School District

Why I'm in Rotary:
I enjoy working on all types of projects, especially when we see immediate results for those in need.

What people don’t know about me:
My given name is James - shortened to Jim. Jocko is a nickname I picked up when I was too young to protest.but I prefer it!

Passions, hobbies, interests:
I enjoy woodworking, motorcycling, fly fishing, running and flying to name a few.

What I'm really good at:
Avoiding this type of question.

One goal I’d like to accomplish:
Enjoy every minute.

Favorite place to vacation/visit:
Montana is the place. I go there with my sons and friends fly fishing each summer.

On my bucket list:
See more of Europe.

Most embarrassing moment:
I would never admit it due to the unlimited pool of Rat Finks in the club.
