She also talked about last year's Rotary International Convention and shared an important message from Rotary International below. In line with that same thought, she also said that Simi Valley is trying to form a diversity discussion group and she hopes our club can somehow be involved.

Mark your calendars now!
Bill Klepper talked about the sponsorship program he is offering our members -- everyone should have received an email about the $100 sponsorship opportunity. To date they have raised $3500. Once the details have been confirmed about the number of cars that will be allowed, promotion more fully will be happening.
Ryan Valencia talked about people power that will be needed.

SENIOR CONCERNS UPDATE
As you know, we were able to purchase and donate 3407 lbs of food through Senior Concerns. Stephanie Shannon said that they are still in need of volunteers to run errands and drop off food.
Leigh Seaton thanked everyone who came out last Saturday to work at Camp Rotary.

District 5240 Virtual District Celebration
Members should plan on attending the District's Virtual Celebration for our very own Savi Bhim. Of course she would like to have 100% from her home club so mark your calendars NOW for Saturday, June 27 from 12 noon - 1:30 p.m. Awards will be given to clubs and individuals and it should be a fun celebration! Lots of interesting activities are being planned!
President Deb talked about how our breakfast dues in March were donated to the staff at the Grand Vista and that in April and May those dues were donated back to Rotary International's Every Rotarian Every Year program. She said that if you don't want to donate you dues in June and you want credit back to please contact John Tolson.

We had the pleasure of hearing from Roland Roberts and Vanessa Alva about vaping from an the organization BRITE.
E-cigarettes have exploded in popularity in the past couple of years, causing an epidemic of youth use across the country. Despite claims of how “safe” they are by those selling them, they’re putting people into emergency rooms and hospitals across the nation.
They shared information on what is vaping and what are it's components. In addition they talked about how vaping priming our youths for addictions.
