President Deb Davila talked about how the Polio Plus arm of Rotary is now utilizing their established surveillance network to help support Covid-19 activities throughout the world by deploying and retraining people, data and more to support this pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic response requires worldwide solidarity and an urgent global effort. The Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI), with thousands of polio workers and an extensive laboratory and surveillance network, has a moral imperative to ensure that these resources are used to support countries in their preparedness and response. As this is a new disease, polio staff are lending their skills as health risk communicators – providing accurate information and listening to people’s concerns.
Raising Money for Thomas Herdering
Jill Abele has been undergoing treatment for polycystic kidney disease for three decades, but she’s found new hope because she was finally matched with a donor—Thomas Herdering.
Most of us know Thomas from99.1 The Ranch and what we also know now is that he is selflessly giving the gift of life to Jill!
Thomas and Jill had the surgery yesterday. His income has already been affected by this. Insurance will pay for his medical expenses, but not his living expenses.
Jake Finch has set up a gofundme page for our community to help Thomas now as he so graciously helps Jill.
Click on the link below today to make a donation! Thank you.
Cindy Jacoby's son got engaged and her daughter is pregnant with her second child.
Don't forget to share your happy updates with President Deb so she can share with all of us!

There is a need for volunteers but donations are really important too. Since many of us should not be shopping, we have found a way for us all to make a difference!
Jim has a VENMO account where you can make a donation and his daughter will do the shopping.
VENMO - JAMES VISAGE

Rotary Foundation Donation Support
Kailey Wagner talked about how in the past, we all donated $100 to the Rotary Foundation through the purchase of our Cajun tickets.
Donations to the Rotary Foundation are incredibly important as these funds will come back to us in three years in the form of district grants.
An email will be going out today asking members to make a $100 donation, or whatever amount they feel comfortable with, to the Rotary Foundation. Your donation will be billed.
