International Day of Peace
September 21
We had the wonderful opportunity to learn about different faiths and practices at our meeting this morning. In Rotary, the idea is to promote peace and understanding and peace cannot thrive in an atmosphere of conflict, ignorance and fear.
We had the pleasure of hearing from Goldy Maan, a Sikh, Mahnaz Nasir, of the Islam faith, and Kanchana Wijekoon, a Buddhist.
