PROGRAM
National Disaster
Search Dog Foundation
Rhett Mauck
We had the opportunity to hear from Rhett Mauck, along with other team members from the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation, about the important work they do with rescue dogs and training them for search and rescue missions throughout the state and country.

Founded in 1996, this Foundation, based in Santa Paula, has set itself a mission to strengthen disaster response in America by rescuing and recruiting dogs and partnering them with firefighters and other first responders to find people buried alive in the wreckage of disasters. He shared a beautiful video of their newly built facilities and how it is used to train handlers and dogs.
