Why I'm in Rotary:
When I joined Rotary, I really was not too sure what it was. I believe init's ideals and motivation to be a positive force in the world community. I am extremely proud to be a Rotarian. For me, attending RYLA graduation was my Rotary Moment. At the time, I was the Youth Services chair. We faced a number of issues, however, in the end, all worked out. We sent twin sisters to RYLA that year – they had a bit of a tough exterior. At RYLA’s end, they were both crying hysterically and came to me and hugged me and wouldn’t let go. They had formed such deep relationships with other attendees, they didn’t want to leave. It was very touching and emotional.
What people don't know about me:
I am a bit of a musical savant. One of my favorite past times is to test my family with the name of the singer or group of an old rock ‘n’ roll song. Yeah, I can be a bit of a sarcastic a—hole too.
Strange, but true:
From about 15 to 18, I sported a perm. My hair was so curly, it looked the same on land as it did underwater.
Passions, hobbies, interests:
Golf, going to the Movies, spending time with family, travel, reading, playing piano/guitar, listening to jazz, golf, bowling
What I'm really good at:
The design, deployment, and use of technology, BBQ, being lazy
One goal I’d like to accomplish during my lifetime:
Retire knowing I’ve done my part.
Favorite place to vacation/visit:
For the past 28 years, my extended family vacations at the Alisal Guest Ranch in Solvang. There is no phone, no TV in the room, but a beautiful10,000 acre ranch with a gigantic pool, fishing and boating lake, horseback riding, tennis, golf… a great place for families.
On my bucket list:
Go on an Alaskan cruise
When you pass on, what would you say to God:
Boy am I glad to see you!
