YES! - Youth Empowerment Summit
Gregg Hartman talked about this year's YES! - Youth Empowerment Summit - it will be held at Camp Rotary on Saturday, November 12th.  He shared some of the ethic questions that the attendees are asked to consider.  Both students and volunteers are needed! See flyer in this bulletin below for more information.
Larry Borovay reminded everyone that we will be having our first Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise camp out on Saturday and Sunday, October 22-23. You can just come for the day/night to hang out and not sleep out.
1. Dinner will be at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and if you are spending the night you can come at 4:00 p.m. to set up. IMPORTANT: Drinks are on you own!
2. Brush up on Corriganville trivia -- it WILL be important!

Larry Hibbler
Simi Valley Ford
We had the pleasure of hearing from Larry Hibbler -- Simi Valley Ford.  He shared his life story of how he came from a sharecropper's family in Mississippi -- the poorest state in the country!
He was able to come to California at the age of 19 and started a job at Felix Chevrolet where he worked for 12 years.  Eventually, he moved over to a Ford Dealership where he learned the ropes of running your own business and was offered the opportunity to run the one he does now in Simi Valley!

Why I'm in Rotary:
Rotary represents forming a connection to helping my fellow citizens both locally and around the world.
Passions, hobbies, interests:
Listening to music, wine tasting and spending time with the grandchildren.

One of my most embarrassing moments:
Going to a friends wedding and while waiting for the ceremony to start I noticed I was wearing one black and one brown sock.

On my bucket list:
Visiting Eastern Canada and experiences the French influences.
