President Mike McCaffrey read a letter from Nick Frankle about how much we raised for the micro finance grants that his wife Heather started a few years ago -- more than $300,00!

Lisa Brough announced that Vince Dulcich's name was drawn from the 30/30 Paul Harris Fellow program and today he received his 4th Paul Harris Fellow.

VooDoo on the Bayou Updates

Lee Dominick made a video about the haunted house and walked us through many of the rooms. Volunteers are needed THIS Saturday, October 6th at 10 AM to help with the clean up of the different areas. Volunteers are still needed and on the two Sundays children will be invited to tour it for free in the light and volunteers will be needed for that too!

Smoke Detector Installation In October 20

Leigh Seaton reminded us about the upcoming Smoke Detector Installation, planned for Saturday, October 20 at the Tradewinds Mobilehome Park - 5150 E Los Angeles Ave. Sign up sheets are on the tables and more volunteers are needed!

He also talked about coming out Saturday, October 13 to the Friendly Village Mobile Home Park to help clean outside and resident's home. Sign ups are on the tables now.

We had the wonderful opportunity to learn about Identity Theft from Detective Tim Lohman. He talked about ways that a thief can get your information and how to better protect yourself. He suggested getting credit reports quarterly from the three credit bureaus. Below are flyers and information from the Federal Trade Commission. Please read them!
