President Deb Davila had the pleasure of giving out three Blue Badges this morning. Geovanny Ragsdale, E.P. McKnight, and Linda Bruce each received theirs.
Cesar Zambrano shared information and photos from his trip to Mexico and the Rotario Ectapec. He also presented President Deb with a flag from their club.
Mary Paseta introduced us to Esmeralda Carrillo who will be our club's exchange student we sponsored to live in Belgium this coming year.
Paula Williams' last meeting in our club before she moves to Seattle was today! She also was our Rat Fink and let everyone know the grammar is important to her and held a quiz for us all!
DISCUSSION ABOUT CAJUN
President Deb held another discussion this morning and first shared who thoughts from other members about the philosophy, financial, structure and management of the festival. She shared that Jim Lowry will step up to handle the bookkeeping for the festival; Maggie Kestly has agreed to dive into details and to help decide the scope, future and management of the festival, and Tim Gray has personally donated funds for next year's festival. Other members spoke about how the decision comes down to the numbers, the volunteer power, and the overall expenses.
Potato Party Planned - August 10
Laura Berger reminded everyone about the upcoming Family of Rotary event Potato Party at his house on Saturday, August 10 at 5:00 p.m. His address is: 12100 Browns Canyon, Chatsworth.
Blood Drive Planned for August 15
Roger Coger, reminded everyone about the upcoming Blood Drive planned for Thursday, August 15. There is shortage of blood so please sign up! Sign up sheets are on the tables now.
Haunted House Volunteers Needed
Maggie Kestly reminded us that every weekend volunteers will be needed. This is not an event for the few, it is up to EVERYONE in the club to participate and help make it a success. She will be putting out sign up sheets every week for all of us to volunteer. The house will be open September 20th and see the below for more information on dates and times THIS WEEKEND needed for volunteers.

August 16th 1:00pm-3:00pm Mandatory Volunteer Meeting. For anyone under 18 a parent is required to attend. We will be going over the haunt build, fire/safety, haunt rules, and answer questions.
