Venezuela Global Grant 50/50 Opportunity
Cesar Zambrano talked about the Venezuela project and how Covid-19 is now affecting the people. They are starting a global grant to help and has asked our club for $1000.
Kailey Wagner offered one 50/50 Paul Harris Opportunity where a $500 donation would be matched by our club. Seven members chimed in to donate and she put all their names in a hat and drew out Leigh Seaton's name! The others wanted to still donate and more information will be coming on how this can happen once the grant is set up.

Every week Dr. P. works hard to set up the meeting and then monitor it throughout the time we are together!
We are so happy that he does this each week so here's a big THANK YOU for all that you do for our club!

New Plans About Donating
Money to the Rotary Foundation
President Deb reminded us that we will be pivoting how we make our $100/member donation to the Rotary Foundation. As you recall, every year we used the purchase of Cajun tickets by our members towards the RI requirement of having each member donate $100/year. As a result, we always had 100% participation.
Since we did not have the Cajun this year, Kailey Wagner had asked members to volunteer to donate $100. Around 25 members said yes.
However, the club has come up with another plan.
Last month we donated our breakfast fee to the employees at the Grand Vista Hotel. But since most of them will now receive money from the state and federal government, it was suggested that we use that money toward fulfilling our RI requirements of $100/member.
What does this mean? Every month $58 of your dues go towards breakfast. We will now collect that money from April and May and send it to RI to reach our member goals.
As before, if you DO NOT want to donate this money back, please let John Tolson know now. If you agreed to donate the $100 originally, this money will not be charged to you.

HONDURAS FOOTPRINT PROJECT
We had a wonderful guest speaker this morning, Dr. Marc Bernard.
He shared information about the Honduras Footprint Project, which Leigh Seaton participated in this past year. (This is a part of Operation Footprint that Heather and Nick Frankle were involved with also!)
Over the years he has performed 3,000 pediatric foot and ankle operations and seen more than 30,000 cases. He said that they are not only treating the child but the entire family. They are the ones that have been carrying the child around.
He shared there is so much disparity between the have and have-nots and the nutritional issues that affect the criteria.
Below are some of the photos from trips in the past and in January 2021 there will be another trip planned to Honduras. If you are interested, please reach out to Leigh.
