President Deb Davila talked about the Haunted House and how this truly represents the three prongs she says makes up Rotary -- Fellowship, Community and Fundraising. We all need to step up NOW to make sure this is a success. There will be 13 nights and each night needs 40 volunteers.
Sign ups are up now at the meeting, but if you weren't there today, please email Jennifer with times that you are available. Shifts are long and you received an email yesterday about them. The house is open EVERY Friday and Saturday nights. We need EVERYONE.
The survey - Leadership Development and Interest Questionnaire - will be placed on the tables each week and emailed. EVERYONE must complete the survey!!!
Club Representative for Simi Sunrise Rotary Charitable Foundation
Chas Wilson announced that Geovanny Ragsdale has been nominated to be the club representative for the Foundation. A motion was made and seconded and the club unanimously approved!
Volunteers REALLY REALLY Needed!
Gregg Hartman strongly encouraged everyone to sign up for 2-3 days. We need 40 volunteers each night and the scare actors need to be 13+ years old. We won't have money for allocations if this event isn't a success. It is up to all of us to make it successful.
We had the pleasure of hearing from our very own Dr. P. about the educational opportunities at Monte Vista School. He said that student success is truly based on the teachers - they make the difference. He said his school is like home school on steroids and presented information about the different programs, labs and clubs that are offered to his students in grades K through 12.
Haunted House Sponsor Program
Bill Klepper talked about a Corporate Sponsor program that will offer $500 - $2500 sponsorships. More information to come.
Haunted House Open House Tomorrow - September 20th - 7:00 pm - 10 pm
Richard Perini announced an Open House tomorrow at the Haunted House. Junkyard will be serving pizzas and it will be a great way to see what has been going on.

November 27 - Thanksgiving Dinner at the Senior Center
December 13 - Holiday Boat Lights Party
Simi Sunrise Charitable Foundation.card are now being sold! The new cards are being sold for 10 for $100 or $10/piece. Remember, they can be used for all occasions -- birthdays, condolences, get well and more!
