President Deb Davila talked about how September is Education and Literacy month in Rotary. Worldwide, 67 million children have no access to education, and more than 775 million people over the age of 15 are illiterate. Our club has many programs that support education and literacy including our recent book drive and the scholarships we give out every year. Over the years we have provided more than $125,000 scholarships to more than 150 students.
The survey - Leadership Development and Interest Questionnaire - will be placed on the tables each week and emailed. EVERYONE must complete the survey!!!
Alejandro Cabrera, our exchanged student, presented President Deb with the Rotary Flag from his home town.

PROGRAM
Dave Berg
Co-Producer The Tonight Show with Jay Leno
We had the pleasure of having Dave Berg as our speaker this morning. Dave is an author and a columnist and co-produced The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Show and The Jay Leno Show. He shared some fun insights about Jay - that he always arrived at the same time, dressed the same way and at the same lunch. He did this so nothing would interfere with his monologue writing. Jay was presented with 1500 jokes each day that he would trim to 24 jokes for the night. He also said that late night hosts tonight need to tell jokes that should heal not divide.
