and presented
Paul Harris Fellows!
DG John Weiss had the pleasure to award two special Paul Harris Fellow pins to Marshall Shrago, for his 22 years as Director of Operations of our Cajun & Blues Festival, and to Dorina Timbol for her work over the years with RYLA and YES!.
In addition, he presented Paul Harris Fellow pins to Dan Gessell, Lee Seaton, and Stephanie Shannon for their participation in the club's recently held 50/50 Columbia Peace Grant participation.
Jim Tokatlian presented a Paul Harris Fellow to his brother-in-law Rick Vartanian.
Rotary Moment
Dorina Timbol shared her Rotary Moment, which is comprised of her involvement in our YES! program. She knows who is making an impact on the youth in our community.
Jake Finch asked us to sign up to walk or donate for the upcoming Relay for Life, which will be held this year on October 21/22 at the Simi Valley Town Center. Sign up sheets are on the tables now.
Volunteer to Replace Fencing at the Free Clinic
Bill and Sophie Klepper will be organizing a group to help repair/replace the fence at the Free Clinic. More information coming shortly.
Boys & Girls Club Golf Tournament
Dorina Timbol announced the upcoming Boys & Girls Golf Tournament planned October 30th. See flyers below for more information.

John Weiss
We had the pleasure of hearing from our District Governor John Weiss. He was president of his Morro Bay club from 2009-2010 and one of his main passions is membership. He is responsible for bringing 50 new members into Rotary over the years!
He talked about this year's theme - Celebrate Rotary - and asked us why we joined Rotary.
He said that each month a survey is mailed to members to get valuable feedback about each club and all the information is passed on to our President Doug.
He talked about this year's District Convention next weekend and the interesting speakers that will be there. The deadline to sign up is TODAY -- click on the link above to be taken to the registration page now!
