President Mike McCaffrey talked about the need for our club to come up with a community event that we can all participate in April. He shared a story about a club in New York that organized an opioid grant that involved clubs from throughout the world.

Cesar Zambrano shared photos and talked about his trip to Bogota, Bucaramanga and Leyva. While there is donated $2000 from our club and participated in a program that was held to learn about different projects from Rotary Clubs around the world.
Highlights from PETS Training
Deb Davila talked about last weekends PETS (President Elect Training). She said there were wonderful speakers including those that talked about peace and counter-terrorism.

Dorina Timbol was our Rat Fink this morning and had the club participate in a Friendship Feud competition about love!!!
Committee Meeting to Discuss Bylaws on How Our Club Chooses President Elects
Chas Wilson said anyone interested in reviewing current bylaws and discussing possible changes in how our club chooses a president elect each year, is welcome to come to his house on Monday, February 18 at 7 pm. - 240 Sinaloa Road.
Cajun Update - Clydesdales?!?!?!
Stella Ortiz, Chair of this year's Cajun & Music Festival, talked about the possibility of having the Budweiser Clydesdales there this year. More information to come.
Family of Rotary Food Tour Planned for April
Laura Berger talked about a Food Tour of Downtown LA, planned for Saturday, April 27th at noon. Sign ups are on the tables now.
District 5240 Baseball Game Sign Ups
Leigh Seaton said sign up sheets are now on the tables for the Dodgers versus Giants District 5240 Baseball game planned for Thursday, June 20th. Cost is $75/pp Please see the flyer below for more information.
Rotary Peace Fellows
Cindy Jacoby talked about the Rotary Peace Felowships. Each year Rotary awards up to 100 fully-funded fellowships for dedicated leaders from around the world to study at one of Rotary's peace centers. Richard Perini said that plans are underway to hold the Halloween Haunted House again this year. We might need to find another location because Macy's might not be available by then.
